INNOVATION & KNOW-HOW
Top quality, top products. Thanks to innovative technology and sound craftsmanship.
High-quality food steeped in tradition
Grain was ground in the Großrosseln mill for several centuries. The mill’s operations changed around the middle of the 19th century. From that point onwards, mainly high-quality oats have been hulled, kilned, ground, cut, milled, and flaked in the former grinding mill. Top-notch products are also made from wheat, rye, barley, and spelt.
Production processes and the wishes of the customers have been constantly evolving since that time. MEGRO has always taken these developments into account. These days MEGRO is equipped with a powerful grain mill and up-to-date infrastructure, from quality control in its own laboratory to packaging and logistics. Perfectly complemented by the passion and in-depth know-how of experienced employees, MEGRO produces the best basic materials for demanding customers across Europe from carefully selected grain at its traditional site.
QUALITY & CERTIFICATES
Certified quality. For safe and naturally healthy food.
MEGRO offers customers grain products of the highest quality. This is guaranteed by our certifications in line with the following standards:
IFS (International Food Standard)
The IFS is an international standard and is accredited by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI). It stands for the evaluation of the conformity of products and processes in terms of food safety and food quality.
SMETA (Sedex Member Ethical Trade Audit)
SMETA bases its evaluation criteria on the Ethical Trade Initiative (ETI) code. The audit comprises four pillars: Health and safety, work rules, environment, and business ethics. Our products are also certified as kosher, halal, and organic. In addition, we offer Naturland-certified oat products.
Our mill byproducts (straight feed) are certified according to QS and meet the requirements for feed safety.
TRADITION – JUCHEM GROUP
Thinking and acting ethically. Out of responsibility for man and nature.
People and our environment have always been the focus of our family company’s actions. As such, we feel that contributing to healthy eating – the most fundamental of all human necessities – is just as important for us as sustainable production. We use modern technology in such a way that ensures conservation of sensitive nutrients whenever possible. Furthermore, our production processes reproduce nature’s cycle to the closest extent possible. Each step of the manufacturing process must be comprehensible and verifiable. This is expressed, for example, in our internal quality criteria, the sourcing of grain from regional production from selected farms with whom we have long-standing business relationships, in addition to resource-conserving and sustainable production.
